Presenting your lived experience at conferences

What an event!

Last week I had the privilege of chatting with Peta Dampney, Principal Consultant at From Me to You Consulting about our experiences with using our lived experiences at conferences. We talked about dipping our toes in by attending conferences as non-speakers, pitching a presentation topic you are passionate about and what it is like when you get there. We also heard tips from others in the room who had experience at conferences and were reassured that we are the experts of the knowledge from our own experiences and to take confidence in that.

The session was well received with participants saying things like:

The opportunity to learn from such experienced Facilitators was a great experience.
As someone looking at submitting abstracts for upcoming Conferences the knowledge & willingness to share it was such a boost.
I would recommend Criticle without hesitation.

Those who were not able to join us for the live discussion have been asking for the recording so it is with great pleasure that I post the link to the presentation below.

If you want to share your experience with presenting from your lived experience at conferences or want to start a critical discussion about what we talked about, comment here, on the video or send us an email.

We have also written up a cheat sheet so you can follow along and prepare for your presentation at a conference. Download the cheat sheet here.

We all have a valid experience to share.

See you at a conference sometime soon!
