What We Do

It’s time to get critical about lived experience! For over a decade people with lived experience of suicide have been pushing for a seat at the table. Now is the time to see how far we have come and where we should put effort into for the future.

Our Mission

To encourage thought leadership and partnerships across the suicide prevention sector between organisations, policy makers, researchers and those with a lived experience of suicide.

“We know we need to include voices of lived experience but no-one is talking about how best to do it, how to get the most out of true partnerships”

— Hayley Purdon

How are we going about it?

  • Undertaking research into the engagement of people with lived experience of suicide in the sector.

  • Inviting suicide prevention sector participants to share their thoughts on ways forward.

  • Approaching suicide prevention with compassionate curiosity.

  • Working together across the whole of the suicide prevention sector.
